The main mission of the Harvard Swiss Society is to advance mutual understanding and academic exchange between Swiss students, Swiss organizations and the larger Harvard community.
To this end, we organize different kinds of events distributed evenly over the academic year:
- Academic events where advanced graduate students present a field of active research preferably related to work conducted here at Harvard and/or with a relation to Switzerland.
- Career planning events where topics, relevant when pursuing an academic or non-academic career, are discussed; with a special attention paid to career opportunities in Switzerland.
- Social events such as hiking trips or trips to historical sites and museums in the greater Boston area. The purpose of these events is to give members the opportunity to explore the local culture and nature of New England.
The Harvard Swiss Society is a student-run organization at GSAS.
